After an event, webinar or collaboration, there’s often a strong urge to move straight on to the next thing. The next assignment, the next project. And yet it’s precisely this after-the-fact evaluation that holds the most value—not to look back, but to move forward.

A good evaluation goes beyond “it went well”. It’s about asking the right questions: were the objectives met? What genuinely contributed to impact, and what mainly drained energy? Where was the value greatest for the target audience, and where was it lacking?

Evaluating on a structural basis reveals patterns over time. You discover what works for your organisation, your audience and, where relevant, your brand. That makes future decisions easier—around format, content, speakers and facilitation.

What’s more, evaluating strengthens our working relationship. It shows that quality matters and that improvement is always possible, from both sides. I’m always open to feedback, so we can turn it into concrete improvements for future collaborations.
